An article has been popping up in my feeds about helicopter parents and the negative affect it has on kids as they become adults. It’s worth a read.
I heard the same thing in a different way on a podcast interview I listened to at the gym this morning with General Stan McChrystal.
I pulled out this theme from both of them. The people who know how to navigate problems, build relationships, and enjoy life go on to live happier, more successful (in their own terms), and more well-adjusted lives.
I want to raise my kids to be adults who know how to challenge the status quo without damaging themselves or others in the process.
