Hire for the Part

I am fascinated by remote working because of the of freedom it affords our company around who we hire. I also like it because our company needs people who are capable of managing themselves.

A great worker isn’t necessarily a great remote worker. There are plenty of exceptionally talented people who work far better in an office environment.

Remote working is a skill like any other, and sometimes an employee who isn’t at their best simply hasn’t focused on working on that skill yet.

Our company will no doubt have a centralized office environment. But…the freedom and responsibility of remote work will play a big role in our culture and how we grow.
